Why Joss Whedon isn’t ruining JL with reshoots

Is Joss Whedon ruining JL with re shoots?

The simple answer is no.
So that’s it huh, this is some kinda blog( Will Smith voice)
Ok,Lets talk.

Justice League actor Joe Morton, who plays Cyborg’s dad/”inventor” Dr. Silas Stone caught up with IGN to talk on JL reshoots and other things-

Morton: Well, the stuff that I had to do were just really small little bits and pieces, nothing necessarily having to do with tone. I know that with Ray [Fisher], the young man who plays Victor, there were some adjustments that they made in terms of the tone of that character. I think what I heard was that there was a need from the studio to lighten up the film in a way, that the film felt too dark. I don’t know what that meant in terms of how it actually got translated in terms of the reshoots but that’s what I heard. That’s what I thought some of the reshoots were about.

People keep forgetting that these Justice League reshoots were already planned with Zack. Joss didn’t come in and suddenly decided that but lets not downplay Joss’ involvement with JL cause he will be working on the movie till November.

So,Is Cyborg a light hearted character? Cyborg is basically an analogy of blackness, heroism, nerdism, and mental illness for black men. He is not a light hearted character.

So here is what’s been happening with Justice League in short-

JL was already ligher than BvS then Snyder lightened it and Whedon lightened it more so its a Chipmunks movie now.

Now, Marvel is light but Whedon isn’t. He made dark things before he joined Marvel and remember that Marvel didn’t like Joss’ dark tone for AOU, so they changed that . People who follow Joss Whedon in twitter and interviews knows that he IS dark af lmao.

Ok, a couple of hours ago, /Film editor-in-chief Peter Sciretta reported a new rumor.

According to /Film, Justice League was originally going to end with a big cliffhanger with Darkseid arriving to Earth, setting him up to be the main villain for the sequel. Now that ending has been completely scrapped. /Film says that Wonder Woman actor Robin Wright shot a new flashback scene explaining who Steppenwolf is. The looming threat of Darkseid is being downplayed with the reshoots.

Ok He may have been right before but this is complete bullshit. Firstly, I don’t think that’s how Zack Snyder would end JL with Darkseid arriving on earth because Justice League 2 ain’t coming soon and you have all these solo films in 2018 & 19.

2nd and 3rd, I will write some facts-

While Snyder isn’t personally directing these new scenes, he’s still involved in post production, and Whedon is helping him “finish his vision“. In fact, as has been covered at length, Snyder completed 100% of principal photography on Justice League meaning The Directors Guild prohibit Warner Bros. from using his absence to completely change the movie around.

Next fact-

During Mark Hughes set visit, Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven explained that there is no ‘Part 1’ and ‘Part 2’ anymore for Justice League (which is what original announcement of release dates said) because the film is now a self-contained story. Their remarks led some of the assembled press to interpret this as suggesting the planned follow-up has been cancelled. But director Zack Snyder explained that Justice League is indeed a single story without a cliffhanger story continuing into a second half, but there is still another film with an existing release date and Justice League sets up a future for the DCEU and the team.
